G.D.'s Long Day
The pilot and the feel of the show
Opening shot for the pilot
establishing the beginning of the pilot in a theme of an old fairytale book.
G.D.'s Long Day is the title of the pilot I have written for the show. We meet the characters one by one, and see how through a series of coincidental events they meet- find themselves working together, and discover secret they all share.
The intension of the pilot is to give the establishing feel and aesthetic that follows through with the rest of the tv-show; we follow 4 individuals who work together to solve one problem- and decide to embark an adventure together to solve more.
Intended for a general audience who love action packed stories, character driven motives of conflict, fantasy and hero origin stories- this is a tale about a thief, an ex-mercenary, and runaway twins who come together and have an adventure of a life-time.
Storyboard I have created for a scene in my written pilot.
The scene focuses around a pivotal turning point in the episode- when my 4 main characters are cornered by the antagonist of the pilot. G.D. is forced to reveal his secret to his new found friends- finding that they share similar identities, and accept him for who he really is.
Final shot for the pilot
This is the established ending scene after the main 4 conclude their first adventure together. They embark on a new chapter in their lives.
The Sketchbook
For my final assignment in my Business of Animated Content class, I needed to pitch my Animated IP. I decided to try and do something different, something daring, as I combined the two things I love to help me explain and showcase the characters I have dearly held close, and the world they live in:
Sketchbooks and Interaction
The Main Characters
G.D.
The Thief
He is the first character we meet during the unfolding events of the pilot, as we watch our first adventure through his perspective. He's a witty, charming thief in a small tourist town..but not very good at his job.

Mary
 The Ex-Mercenary
She is the second character we meet in the pilot. Mysterious yet kindhearted and strong willed, we don't get to know her backstory at first- only indication that she is looking for a place to start new.

June & Jack
 The runaway twins
The last two we meet in the pilot. These twins accidently run into G.D. and Mary while lost in the crowd- they are the key to our heroes coming together as a group. Like Mary, they are mysterious and we don't know about their origin- but they too, want to start new.

Concept of cover art
Concept art for cover images and/or main character art. I had different inspirations for this, as I learned from my business of animation class to take different sources of inspiration to understand the composition, graphic art and formula for existing television shows.
I had different concepts sketched out- some I liked more than others. In the end, they all were leading towards the voice of the show and how I wanted the dynamic of this quartet to be written out.

Mini-Comics
Mini comics I have made to play with the characters', their dynamics with one another as well as the world I have written for them! These comics may include characters from other projects, to enhance the idea of how big of a universe I have written for my characters :)
